ACTIONS WHEN RUNNING OUT OF FUEL
When starting the engine again after running out of fuel, fill it up with fuel and bleed air from the fuel system
before starting.
Always check the fuel level to prevent running out of fuel.
If the engine has stopped because of running out of fuel, all the air in the fuel circuit must be bled by using the
fuel feed pump.
PROCEDURES FOR BLEEDING AIR FROM FUEL CIRCUIT

WARNING
When using the fuel feed pump, do not loosen the air bleeding plug of the fuel circuit. The fuel circuit is
pressurized while the fuel feed pump is operated. If the air bleeding plug is loosened at this time, fuel
may spout out and it is dangerous.
Bleed air according to the following procedure.
1.
Fill the fuel tank until full (to FULL mark on the fuel gauge) with fuel.
2.
Insert the key into the starting switch.
3.
Turn the starting switch key to ON position (B).
The fuel feed pump operates.
4.
Hold the starting switch key at ON position (B) for 60 sec-
onds, and then return it to OFF position (A) and hold it
there for 10 seconds.
5.
Repeat above steps 3. and 4. for 4 times.
6.
Turn the starting switch to START position (C) and start the
engine.
NOTICE
Do not operate the starting motor continuously for
more than 20 seconds. If the engine does not start,
wait for at least 2 minutes before trying again. Perform
this operation a maximum of 4 times.
If the engine does not start, all air may not be bled. Return the key to OFF position (A), and bleed air ac-
cording to the following procedure.
