Check Oil Level in Engine Oil Pan, Add Oil
WARNING
Parts and oil are at high temperature immediately after the engine is stopped and may cause serious
burns. Wait for the oil temperature to go down before performing this operation.
1.
Open the front engine hood.
2.
Remove dipstick (G), and wipe the oil off with a cloth.
3.
Fully insert dipstick (G) into filler pipe (F), then remove it.
4.
The oil level should be between the H and L marks on dip-
stick (G).
If the oil level is below the L mark, add oil through oil filler
(F).
5.
If the oil is above the H mark on the gauge, remove cover
(1), drain the excess oil from drain valve (P) at the bottom
of the engine oil pan, then check the oil level again.
6.
If oil level is correct, securely tighten the oil filler cap and
close the engine hood.
REMARK
When checking the oil level after the engine has been oper-
ated, wait for at least 15 minutes after stopping the engine
before checking.
If the machine is at an angle, make it horizontal before check-
ing.
