k
WARNING
Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot, and may cause burn injury.
Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
Refill capacity of oil pan: 48 ℓ (when replacing the filter)
Items to be prepared
• Container to catch the drained oil
• Filter wrench
1.
Remove the cover (1) under the machine and put a con-
tainer under the drain valve (P) to catch the drained oil.
2.
Install the hose (2) which is stored in the toolbox to the
drain valve (P). Turn down the lever (3) of the drain valve
slowly, and drain the oil. After draining the oil, turn up the
lever to close the valve.
• Never loosen the plug (a). Oil comes out by operating
the lever without loosening the plug.
• Store the hose (2) in the toolbox if it is not used.
3.
Open the engine hood.
4.
Turn the filter cartridge (4) counterclockwise by using the
filter wrench, and remove it.
5.
Clean the filter head, fill the new filter cartridge with clean
engine oil, coat the thread and packing surface of the new
filter cartridge with clean engine oil (or thinly apply the
grease), then install it to the filter head.
REMARK
Check that there is no old packing stuck to the filter head.
If there is any old packing stuck to it, it will cause leakage
of oil.
6.
When installing the filter cartridge, tighten it until the packing surface contacts the sealing surface of the
filter head, then tighten it 3/4 to 1 turns.
• When tightening the filter cartridge by using a filter wrench, be extremely careful not to dent or damage
the filter.
