3.
Lock securely with cover support lever (2).
4.
Check the oil level through sight gauge (G).
If the oil level is in the range shown below, it is proper.
State A: Within range "a"
State B: Within range "b"
If the oil level is below level L, the hydraulic oil is insuffi-
cient. Perform the following procedure.
1) Remove the cap of oil filler port (F) gradually to re-
lease the internal pressure.
2) Add oil through oil filler port (F) until the oil level
comes between levels H and L of sight gauge (G).
NOTICE
Do not add oil above H line. It may damage the oil
circuit and cause the oil to spurt out.
If the refilled oil exceeds H level, swing the upper
structure until drain plug (P) beneath the hydraulic
tank comes between the right and left tracks and
stop the engine. Wait for the oil to cool down suffi-
ciently, then drain the excess oil through drain
plug (P) into an oil container.
REMARK
The oil level will vary depending upon the oil temperature. Accordingly, use the followings as a guide:
• Before starting the operation: Around L level
(Oil temperature 10 to 30 °C)
• Normal operation: Around H Level
(Oil temperature 50 to 80 °C)
5.
If oil is added in state B, pressurize the hydraulic tank use
the followings as a guide:
1) Start the engine.
2) Set the lock lever to FREE position (F).
3) Operate the work equipment control levers, and ex-
tend the boom cylinder, bucket cylinder, and arm cylin-
der to their stroke end.
