Check coolant level, add coolant
WARNING
z
Do not open the radiator cap unless necessary. When
checking the coolant, always wait for the engine to cool
down and check the sub tank.
z
Immediately after the engine is stopped, the coolant is at a
high temperature and the radiator is under high internal
pressure. If the cap is removed to check the coolant level in
this condition, there is a hazard of burns. Wait for the tem-
perature to go down, then turn the cap slowly to release the
pressure before removing it.
CAUTION
When adding coolant, use the step and handrail provided, and
support your body securely.
1. Check that the cooling water level is in the range between
the FULL and LOW marks on sight gauge (G) of the sub
tank.
If the water level is low, open the cover at the top of the plat-
form and and water through sub tank filler port (1) to the
FULL level.
2. After adding coolant, tighten the cap securely.
3. If the sub-tank is empty, check for water leakage. After
checking, fill the radiator with water, then fill the sub-tank
with water.
If the volume of coolant added is more than usual, check for
possible leakage.
Confirm that there is no oil in the coolant.
