3.2. Inspection Area
Based on its type, an air handling unit may be installed indoors or outdoors. When selecting an installation or mounting
location, you must foresee sufficient and security compliant access space for repair and maintenance operations. The unit
must be installed in a way to allow partial or full disassembly and removal of assemblies out of the sections, if needed (e.g.,
in case of complex repairs).

Minimum service area A defines an area which must be free of any stand-alone or immovable devices, equipment, parti-
tions, structure or furniture. This area is sufficient for performing service and filter replacement works. For repair and replace-
ment of components (e.g., removal of rotary heat exchangers), access area equal to the width of the device B shall be ensured
in front of the device.
