Alternative 1
Alternative 1 may be used for testing in air. The transducers are made for communication
in water, so alternative 2 is the preferred method.

Alternative 2 (preferred method)
Purpose
This procedure shows how to set up the test system.
Procedure
1
Disconnect the subsea transducer from the SCU.

Connect the transducer test cable to the SCU.
3
Connect the other end of the transducer test cable to the ACU.

telemetry power is needed when using the transducer test cable.
Test procedure
You use the simulator provided with the ACS500 system to test.
Connect the simulator with the system as described in the previous section. The second
alternative is preferred as the transducers are made for communication in water.
Systems with dynamic switches can read the valve status when the solenoid function has
been carried out. Systems with static switches can read the valve status at any time.
Purpose
This procedure shows how to test the system.
