These operating instructions apply to the KONGSKILDE Multicutter type MC 3000 / 5000
and granulator type KG 3000 / 5000
Application
Kongskilde Multicutter is designed for continuous cutting of plastic and paper trim off-cut or
continuous trim from slitter-winders, paper, cardboard ect.. The granulator is intended for
granulation of plastic, plastic foil, paper, self-adhesive backing paper, cardboard and cer-
tain types of very thin metal foil.
Safety
Never put your hand into the Multicutter or granulator inlet and outlet openings during ope-
ration.
Always stop the Multicutter or granulator prior to repair and maintenance and make sure
that it cannot be started unintentionally.
See to it that foreign matter of steel etc. will not enter the Multicutter or granulator and
cause damage to the blades.
The blades of the Multicutter/granulator are very keen. Do always wear gloves when hand-
ling the blades.
Wiring
Wiring must be effected by a certified electrician. Always arrange for a protective motor
switch to be fitted failing which the motor guarantee will no longer apply. Check the direc
-
tion of rotation of the motor. The direction of rotation must be counter-clockwise viewed
from the motor side.
Maintenance
In case of abnormal noise or vibrations, stop the Multicutter or granulator and rectify the
defect before restarting.
Lubrication
The Multicutter or granulator bearings are prelubricated from the factory and require no
further maintenance.
Grinding of rotor knives
When the blades of the Multicutter or granulator
are so weared out that they cannot per-
form the requested cutting work, grinding of the blades will be necessary.
