Operation:
By means of the operator´s panel (and possibly ex-
ternal plant control), it is possible to fully regulate the
blower speed. It is therefore possible to adjust the
MultiAir blowers performance to fit precisely the instal
-
lation concerned.
The adjustment can either be done manually or it can
be done automatically by means of a flow/pressure
transmitter (accessory).
To achieve energy savings, it is important not to run
at higher speeds than necessary, to solve the task at
hand. Furthermore, operating the blower at excessive
speeds/output could cause damage to the material be-
ing conveyed.
After setup and running-in of the blower, the settings
are saved in the control unit, even after electrical sup-
ply is disconnected. When operating, the current value
is indicated constantly.
In case the setpoint is changed, the blower will auto-
matically adjust the performance (provided it is capable
of doing so).
Starting the blower
: Press the green start button (2).
When the blower is operating, "Running" in shown in
the Status field.
Stopping the blower
: Press the red stop button (1).
When the blower is stopped, "Stopped" is shown in the
Status field.
Increase blower performance (speed):
Press the arrow up button (3). The button can be held
down continuously for a greater degree of adjustment.
Reduce blower performance (speed):
Press the arrow down button (4). The button can be
held down continuously for a greater degree of adjust-
ment.
In case the desired setpoint can not be obtained, the
power limitation can have been reached. The operators
panel will display "Unable to reach setpoint".
Start and stop of the blower during normal operation
should be performed on the operators panel or via the
blowers digital inputs. In case the main switch is dis-
connected and reconnected before ½-1 minute after
disconnection, it may be necessary to reset an error by
pressing "Ack Fault", where after the blower will oper-
ate normally again. Therefore, the blower should not be
stopped with the main switch but with the Stop key on
the operator panel.
Service and maintenance:
All service, maintenance and repairs should be per-
formed by qualified or trained personnel.
The motor bearings are lubricated at the factory and
require no additional lubrication. The blower´s rotor is
mounted directly on the motor shaft; there are therefore
no bearings in the blower itself.
Make sure that there is always an unobstructed flow of
cooling air to the blower. The blower is equipped with a
filter, installed in the intake panel below the motor. This
filter shall be cleaned or replaced as needed. Further
-
more, it can be necessary to clean the grid at the intake
port, especially if the blower is installed outdoors.
The filter can be inspected as follows:
1 - They 4 pcs. M6 screws are removed, the panel
pulled downwards, and set aside.
2 - The filter cassette is pulled clear of the intake panel,
the screw is loosened, and the filter removed. The filter
can be cleaned as needed, with pressurized air or wa-
ter. If water is used, the filter must be dry before inser
-
tion. In case the filter is very dirty or clogged, it should
be replaced.
Make sure to refit the filter properly when inserting. The
filter cassette is pressed in place, the screw refitted, the
intake panel is put back, and the 4 screws reinstalled.
