4 - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Working in the field
To prepare the implement for work in the field:
1. Place the implement on a level ground.
2. Connect the implement to the three-point linkage of
the tractor.
3. Connect the hydraulic system to the quick action cou-
pling of the tractor.
4. Raise the outer rotors and pull the rope of the stop
valve to allow the oil to flow to the lift rams. Hold taut
the rope and set the lever of the tractor control valve
to “raising” position.
NOTE:
This way the hydraulic system automatically
raise the outer rotors and secure them by means of
safety hooks.
5. Lower the outer rotors and pull the rope and keep it
taut and set the control lever of the tractor hydraulics
to “lowering” position.
Driving speed and number of revolutions
Choose the driving speed at which the implement picks
up the material completely. Choose the number of revolu-
tions on the Power Take-Off (PTO) with you can correctly
process the material. This depends on the condition of
the material, for example the drier the material, the lower
the number of revolutions.
The working speed and the number of RPM during the
raking depends on the type and amount of crop, the dry
matter content and the ground conditions. The PTO num-
ber of revolutions is approximately
540 RPM
Driving speed on the road never exceed
25 km/h
(
15.5 mph
) ) on the road.
Always select the travel speed to allow the implement to
take up the crop cleanly. At the same time the correct PTO
speed has to be guaranteed in order to avoid damages of
the quality of the crop.
In addition the PTO speed must suit at all times the crop
to the conditions. The dryer is the crop, the lower should
be the PTO speed.
Tedding / spreading swaths
When you spread swaths make sure that one of the
swaths is between the tractor wheels.
Always select the travel speed according to the quality
of the crop to be handled. The PTO speed should be
approximately
540 RPM
.
To achieve a clean scatter pattern it may be necessary to
mount the implement offset on the tractor.
In any case the swaths should be so arranged in relation
to the rotor pairs that the tractor wheels do not drive over
the crop.
