1.
Drive from the main motor is transmitted to the drive gear.
2.
Rotation of the drive gear is transmitted to the pressure cam.
3.
When the pressure/retraction solenoid/cleaning blade is energized, the half-moon-
shaped pressure cam rotates a half turn to push the lever forward.
4.
When the lever is pushed forward, the cleaning blade is retracted.
5.
When the cleaning blade is retracted, it results in the cleaning blade being retracted
from the transfer belt.
6.
During this time, the retraction position sensor/cleaning blade detects whether or
not the cleaning blade is retracted from the transfer belt.
