Image Erase Operation
Plate images can be erased by performing the
following steps .
CAUTION
• Make sure not to pinch your fingers while inserting the
cassette .
HINT
•
If only performing the image erase process, the Image
processing controller does not have to be started up .

Prepare a cassette with an image erasing
plate loaded .
If there is a memo between the cassette’s memo
clip, remove it . If there is a sticker etc . attached to
the cassette, remove it .
CAUTION
•
Only cassettes specially made for this device can be
used .

Confirm that the Image processing con
-
troller is not in image capture standby
mode (that the CR “Modality” button has
not been clicked) .

Confirm that the device’s Ready Lamp
(green) is lit .

Hold down the
erase button for at least 2
seconds .
•
The device will go into Image Erase Mode, and
the Erase Lamp (orange) will start blinking .

HINT
•
The Erase Lamp will be lit while pressing the erase
button .
•
In order to prevent operational errors from occurring, if
the cassette is not inserted within 5 seconds from the
beginning of Image Erase Mode, the device will return
to Image Read Mode .

Insert the cassette in the cassette inser
-
tion slot .
CAUTION
•
Do not insert anything other than the cassette in the
cassette insertion slot . Doing so may cause a malfunc-
tion .
If a foreign object has fallen inside of the device, con
-
tact Konica Minolta technical representatives .
Position the back side of the cassette facing up-
ward, and slowly slide it into place, straight and all
the way to the back, in the direction of the arrow .
Insert so that
center-sections
match.
•
The image erase process will begin .
•
The Erase Lamp (orange) is lit while images are
being erased .
HINT
•
If the cassette was inserted before pressing the erase
button, holding down the erase button for at least 5
seconds will start up the image erase process .
