Cleaning a blocked burner or venturi
• Look into the burner with a torch and
check if it is blocked.
• Pierce the nozzle with a thin needle or
other suitable object to clear the block-
age.
• Check again with the torch that all
obstructions have been removed.
• Using a soft brush e.g. a toothbrush,
clean the venturi to make sure it is clean
and not blocked.
• Check if the connections of the burner
are blocked. They can also be easily
cleaned with a wire brush with brass bris-
tles. Do not use a steel wire brush, other-
wise corrosion may occur on the burner.
• Damaged burners (holes, cracks, etc.)
must be replaced immediately.
• Reinstall the burners in reverse order
after cleaning.
The grill must be seasoned before the next
use.
• To do this, grease the inside of the gas
barbecue sparingly with heat-resistant oil
(rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, etc.).
• Light one burner and set it to a small
flame.
• Light a second burner.
• After 8 to 10 minutes, set the burners to
the largest possible flame.
– The gas grill must be operated for about
25 minutes on the highest setting at a
minimum of 200 °C without cooking food
to remove any production residue.
• Switch off all burners and let the gas grill
cool down.
