5.3.
PCIe Slots
The KISS 4U V3 SKX platform supports up to seven PCIe 3.0 expansion cards using the rear side PCIe slots. For
information on the possible PCIe expansion card types, see Table 5. The slots numbering is shown in Figure 23, pos.9.
Table 5: PCIe 3.0 Expansion Card Slots/Type
When expanding a system, observe that the specified maximum power consumption
supported by the PSU is not exceeded.
5.3.1.
Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Cards
The standard display output is VGA (Max. resolution 1920x1200@ 60 Hz). By default VGA is implemented in PCIe slot 7
(Figure 19, pos. 7). To improve graphical performance, an optional GPU expansion cards can be implemented in the
GPU default slot 3 (Figure 19, pos. 3).

5.3.2.
Network Card
The standard on-board network outputs are two rear side LAN (1 Gb/s) ports. For additional network performance, a
LAN card can be implemented in a vacant PCIe slot, as shown in Figure 19, pos. 6.
