PCI Connector
The SBC provides one 68-pin PCI connector that allows you to add additional PCI
devices, such as SCSI or Ethernet. If you have a compatible PCI device, plug it onto the
connector and secure it with two retention bars.
Clearing the CMOS
The following table indicates how to enable/disable the CMOS Clear Function hardware
circuit by setting the jumper at its proper position.
JP2 Function
1-2 Normal Operation*
2-3 Clear CMOS contents
To run the CMOS Clear function:
1. Turn off the system.
2. Move the JP2 jumper to 2-3 position (this does not consume any power).
To clear the CMOS:
1. Turn the power on and off again for an AT system. Press the toggle switch a few
times for an ATX system.
2. Move JP2 back to the 1-2 position (Normal Operation) and restart the system.
The system will produce a "CMOS Check Sum Error" message and hold up.
Users can then follow the displayed message to load the BIOS default setting.
Programming the Watchdog Timer
The enable and disable options are available in the Watch Dog Timer Select sub-
section of the Integrated Peripherals portion of the BIOS Setup Utility. Apart from enable
and disable options, there are other options such as 10 sec, 20 sec, 30 sec, 40 sec,
1min, 2 min and 4 min.
There is one programming guide (source code in Assembly language) and test program
on the CD. Please refer to the programming guide to create your own Watch Dog Timer
application.
