Quick Power on Self Test
This category speeds up Power On Self Test (POST) after you power up the computer.
If it is set to Enable, BIOS will shorten or skip some check items during POST.
Enabled
Enabled quick POST.
Disabled
Normal POST.
First/Second/Third/Fourth Boot Device
The BIOS attempts to load the operating system from the devices in the sequence
selected in these items.
Options: Floppy, LS120, ZIP100, HDD, SCSI, CDROM, LAN, and Disabled.
Boot Up NumLock Status
Select power on state for NumLock.
Options: Off/On.
Security Option
Select whether a password is required every time the system boots or only when
entering setup.
System
The system will not boot and access to Setup will be denied if the
correct password is not entered at the prompt.
Setup
The system will boot, but access to Setup will be denied if the correct
password is not entered at the prompt.
Note:
To disable security, select PASSWORD SETTING in the Main Menu and
then will enter a password. Do not type anything; press <Enter>, which disables
security. After the security is disabled, the system boots and you can enter
Setup freely.
PS/2 Mouse Function Control
Disabled prevents an installed PS/2 mouse from functioning but frees up IRQ 12.
Enabled allows the operating system to determine whether to enable or disable the
mouse.
