occurs at 5.2 V). When the desired voltage
is reached,
move the throttle stick to the
motor off
position (0 %). The JIVE Pro
confirms programming with a risin
g triad of
sounds and the BEC voltage in a
corresponding numbers of beeps.
When reaching the maximum voltage of 8 V there
is a double beep. To confirm a setting of 8 V
move
the throttle stick to the motor off position (0 %)
within 2 s. Otherwise no BEC voltage is stored.

Updates
In JIVE Pro-ESC’s software updates can
be online
installed, without sending the
product to
KONTRONIK. For the implementation of an
update are r
equired:
• JIVE Pro ESC
• KONTRONIK Programming unit
• PC with Windows ™ operating system
• Internet connection
• Battery (20-50V)
2.
Disconnect the JIVE Pro from your receiver
(slave also) and c
onnect the programming unit
to the JIVE Pro.
3.
Plug the programming unit to a Windows ™
PC and connect to the
Internet.
4.
Start the download from the KONTRONIK
homepage (www.kontronik.com) of the current
software version for your JIVE Pro
by saving
the file to your PC.
5.
Connect the JIVE Pro to a suitable battery (20-
50
V) and switch on the programming unit.
6.
Run the update from your PC by
double-
clicking the downloaded file.
7.
When connecting the JIVE Pro to
the
programming unit, the currently installed
s
oftware version is shown in the screen output
of
the update software.
8.
When the PC and the programming unit
r
ecognize the connected JIVE Pro, the update
button in your programming unit appears
s
electable.
9.
The update is then performed
automatically.
During the update none of these existing
connections must be separated: PC -
programming unit, programming unit - JIVE
Pro, JIVE Pro -
battery
10.
When the update is completed successfully a
confirmation of the new software version
appears on the programming unit’s display.
11.
After a successfully completed update all
connections can be disconnected, the JIVE
Pro is ready for use.
Attention: after updating a reset has to be
done (KONTRONIK Programming unit
or
Mode 1). Otherwise the ESC looks dead. All
previously made preferences will be reset,
the mode programming must be redone.
9. Connecting the Bluetooth Module
To connect the BT Module follow this:
1. finish normal Mode programming
2. disconnect battery
3. Connect Bluetooth Module
4. Pull stick on transmitter to 100% throttle
5. Connect battery to JIVE Pro
6. Start linking procedure at your mobile
phone
7. Wait until JIVE Pro beeps 3 times
8. Pull stick on transmitter to zero throttle
10. Troubleshooting
10.1 Errors during programming
The JIVE Pro ESC performs a self check after
connecting a battery.
