Linking system
It is possible to transmit information between host computers and PLCs using the network.

Upper link
Upper-layer links are performed on CCM (indicating CCM = CCM2, DirectNet, N sequences) networks using communication
modules. The CCM network is common to all our PLCs.
The number of RS-485 drivers installed in the PLC and display GC-A series can be connected up to 32. However, the number of
RS-485 drivers that can be connected will decrease due to the environment, wiring, etc. actually used. As a countermeasure, insert
the commercially available RS-485 repeater in the middle. By using a repeater, up to 90 units can be connected.
The setting and available station numbers are 01 to 90 (BCD).

In addition, both ends of the RS-485 network require terminating resistors corresponding to the cable impedance rating (100-500
ohms).

Upper Computer Link System (CCM Slave Function)
Purpose
Transmission and collection of production control information to PLC by computer, and maintenance of PLC by
computer
Feature
Writing from Computer to PLC and Writing from PLC to Computer
Target memory → Function memory, program memory, CPU operation mode, etc.
Method
When necessary from the computer (master), send the necessary message to the slave station (slave station) and
send and receive the necessary information.
Note: When connecting the computer to SJ-Ether PLC one by one, RS-485 on communication port 2 or Ethernet on
communication port 3 is available. For details, refer to 4-1 Communication Port.
