Nature of the function memory

Input I
Functional memory I is a memory that stores the ON/OFF status (input status) of the input device connected to the input
module.

The ON/OFF state of the input device is stored in the input status memory of the CPU during the input transfer
process. The contents of the input status memory are updated during the next input transfer process.

In program execution, logical operation is performed based on the content stored in the input status memory.

When a direct input command is executed, the logical operation is performed in the ON/OFF state when the
command is executed, but the input status memory is not updated.

Input status memory not assigned to the module can be used as an internal relay. The input status memory can be
turned on or off with an OUT command or the like.

Output Q
Functional memory Q is a memory that stores the output status for turning on/off the output device connected to the output
module as a result of executing the user program.

The program execution results are stored as output status in the output status memory of the CPU. The contents of
the output status memory are updated when the following program executes.

The ON/OFF state stored in the output status memory is written to the output module during the output transfer
process and the output is turned on/off.

When the direct output command is executed, the logical operation result at the time of executing the command is
written to the output status memory, and the output is also written to the output module, and the output is turned on
and off. The output status of the output module does not change until the next output transfer.
