CLOSING THE LADDER

Always take great care when retracting the telescopic 
ladder.
1. Place the telescopic ladder on solid and level ground.
2. Press the release buttons towards the centre to 
    retract the telescopic ladder (Fig. 5).
3. The rungs will be folded automatically one by one. 
    The lower rungs are folded first. All the unfolded rungs 
    will be retracted in one time (Fig. 6).
            
Ensure that your arms and fingers are in line with the 
unlocking buttons (see dotted line), when retracting 
the ladder. Do not place your fingers on or between the 
rungs when retracting the ladder. Risk of crushing!

CAUSES OF ACCIDENTS

The following list of hazards shows common risks when working with ladders and does not claim to be complete. 
Observe the following instructions as a foundation for safe work.

WRONG HANDLING:

Putting up and disassembling the ladder.

・ 

Carrying objects on the ladder. 

LOSS OF STABILITY:

 

・ 

Improper ladder placement.

・ 

Bottom part slipping away from the wall, sideways slipping, tipping and overturning.

・ 

Poor condition of the ladder (e.g. missing anti-slip feet).

・ 

Dirty floor, unstable ground, not absolutely level ground, slippery ground.

・ 

Jumping from an unsecured ladder.

・ 

Collisions with the ladder, e.g. vehicles or doors.

・ 

Adverse weather conditions, such as strong wind.

・ 

Wrong type of ladder, e.g. too short or unsuitable ladder.

・ 

Dirty or wet rungs.

・ 

Unsuitable shoes.

・ 

Unsafe behavior, e.g. climbing two rungs at a time, sliding down the ladder.
