7.6 Replace the diaphragm
The following is a description of how to replace diaphragm using the example of the left-hand
side of the diaphragm pump.
1.
Clean diaphragm pump (

2.
Make sure that the compressed air supply is switched off and secured against a restart.
3.
Reduce the fluid pressure by activating the extraction point.
4.
Remove the pressure and suction connection (

5.
Unfasten all 6 screws ( Fig. 10/1) and remove the diaphragm cover ( Fig. 10/2).
6.
Unscrew the diaphragm ( Fig. 10/3) from the control pin ( Fig. 10/4).
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to improper cleaning!
Detergents may be harmful to one's health and be easily flammable. Furthermore, seals of the
diaphragm pump can be destroyed.

Adhere to the safety data sheets of the cleaning product manufacturer.

Do not use any high-pressure cleaning devices.
