Tape / VCR inputs and outputs
The TAPE and VCR inputs and outputs are specifi cally provided to allow recording and playback of
analog audio and video sources. When the Tape or VCR input is selected, the Tape or VCR outputs are
shuts off so as not to allow feedback. The Tape or VCR inputs will accept the analog audio or video
signals from any active and selected device.
Button Mode presets
The Evolution 707 front panel has a row of buttons for quick access to Surround decoding modes.
The Modes Are:
Pre Amp - Direct analog connection with no processing of the incoming signal.
Stereo - Default mode for PCM digital input or 2-channel analog audio with processing.
Mode 1 - Default mode as defi ned in the decode method preference. (P28, C)
Mode 2 - Direct access to all available decode modes.
Dolby Pro Logic - Direct access to the available Dolby Pro Logic IIx Modes.
Save and Recall
The
confi guration parameters and settings defi ned in the set-up menu can be saved to a default
layout. Once a layout has been saved it can be recalled at anytime restoring back to the last saved
working presets.
To Save a layout:
Press and Hold the
Save
button on the Front panel. The front panel display will show “Saving Setup”
and return to its last activity.
To Recall a layout:
Press and Hold the
Recall
button on the Front panel. The front panel display will show “Recall Setup”,
the Initialization splash screen will pop up and the unit will go into Stand-by. Press the Power button,
the last saved version of the layout will now be active.
Factory reset
The Evolution 707 has a full factory reset sequence, this will adjust all settings and parameters back
to the original factory specifi cation. To activate a factory reset:
While the unit is powered on and in the operation state, press and HOLD the Recall button on the
front panel, and while holding the
Recall
button press the
Power
button on the front panel and then
release.
The front panel display on the Evolution 707 will go black, the unit will turn off, and about 2 seconds
later the unit will re-initialize displaying current fi rmware version number. All of the settings are now
back to the factory defaults.
