OPENING AND PREPERATION OF THE CHRISTMAS TREE STAND
You receive Your Christmas tree stand closed and the red foot pedal lock
(A)
(fig. 1) in secured position. To
release the Christmas tree stand, first raise the red foot pedal lock
(A)
(fig. 1) into unlock position. Gently lift the foot pedal
(B)
(fig. 2) upwards to open the clamping mechanism. The clamps will spring into a vertical position. CAUTION: The foot
pedal must be lifted with suitable foot wear. To avoid injury do not place any body parts (fingers) in area of the clamps.
CAUTION: To prevent possible damage to your carpet or floor, the use of a heavy plastic sheet underneath
the Christmas tree stand is recommended. Always place the Christmas tree stand on a flat, even surface.
!
CAUTION: The trunk must have an even cut and may not be drilled in the middle. If the cut is inclined or
the trunk is drilled, re-cutting the trunk is necessary. An uneven or inclined cut causes reduced stability and
enhances the risk of the tree to fall.
!
Set the trunk of the tree into the middle of your Christmas tree stand. Press the trunk firmly onto the spike. Do not use a trunk
that has a drilled hole in the middle.
Push down the foot pedal
(B)
(fig. 3). Repeat pushing until the clamping mechanism securely fastens the trunk.
When tree and trunk are well positioned, put the lock
(A)
(fig. 5) back into secured position to fasten the Christmas tree
stand. CAUTION: Ensure the tree is securely anchored in the stand.
To prevent the Christmas tree stand from uncontrolled opening, a padlock (not included in shipment) should be placed in
hole to secure the foot pedal.
PUTTING UP THE TREE
After having securely anchored the tree in the stand, add water to keep your tree fresh. Always keep the inner container
filled with tap water. Slowly fill with tap water (fig. 6) until the level indicator
(D)
(fig. 7) is well visible. Stop adding water.
Overfilling can damage the seal and create recurrent leaking, and may cause damage to your floor covering.
FILLING THE CHRISTMAS TREE STAND WITH WATER
To drain the stand after having removed your Christmas tree, tip the stand towards the opening at the level indicator into
a sink. Residual Water remaining in the stand will eventually dry out by itself. After use, wash the inside and outside of the
stand with a soft cloth or sponge and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly
(D)
(fig. 8). Do not use any chemicals or abrasive
cleaners. Dry completely prior to storage. Push down the foot pedal and put the red lock back into secured position.
DRAINING AND CLEANING THE CHRISTMAS TREE STAND AFTER USE
To take out the Christmas tree raise the lock
(A)
(fig. 1) into the unlock position. Before lifting the foot pedal
(B)
(fig. 2) ensure
that you are holding the tree in an upright position. When lifting the foot pedal
(B)
(fig. 2) the clamps will spring into a
vertical position. Now you can take out the Christmas tree.
TAKING OUT THE TREE
CAUTION: The foot pedal must be lifted with suitable foot wear. To avoid injury do not place any body
