Attention please - A sum mary of important points regarding “Kroll M ultifuel Oil Burner”
1.
Read operating instructions carefully, prior to installing and com missioning the heater.
2.
The incorrect adjustment of the burner may destroy the combustion chamber and the heat exchanger; therefore,
it is important that the output is correctly set. In order to avoid condensation, the net temperature of the flue
gases (=the measured tem perature of the flue gases in °C minus the inlet temperature of the burner in °C m inus
the inlet temperature of the burner in °C) must not drop below a value of 160°C (at space heaters).
3.
The burner adjustm ent m ust be carried out by a specialist (after-sales service for the burner).
The flames m ust on no account touch the walls of the combustion chamber.
4.
Clean the combustion chamber and the heat exchanger at least once a year. Have the oil burner checked and
serviced at least annually. Conclude a service contract.
5.
Do not switch off at the m aster switch while heating . Use the device switch instead. Otherwise, the device will be
destroyed, as there will be no after-running of the cooling air blower (when using space heaters).
6. Rectify the cause of defect before unlocking the overheat thermostat (warm air thermostat) or the overload relay.
7.
In order to qualify for the guarantee, the device must be installed and commissioned by a specialist. The settings
are to be recorded in a m easurem ent certificate.
8.
Please fill out all the points of the guarantee form correctly, sign, and send it to Kroll. Please note that in case of
m issing measuring values no guarantee certificate will be used.
9.
In case of temperatures below 4°C, the oil should be heated in the reservoir (or in the unit tank respectively). (For
the relevant heating cartridges, please refer to the accessories).
10.
In order to protect the control of the heating please note the charging rate of the burner (if necessary,
install an additional relais).
Conditions of Guarantee:
•
The usual guarantee period granted on our devices cover 12 m onths after the delivery – the date of the invoice
being decisive.
•
The guarantee will only be granted if a regular servicing is carried out at least once a year and in accordance with
the Kroll operating instructions. The results must be recorded in the applicable measurement certificates. It is also
required that the device was correctly com missioned and that this is documented in a detailed measurement
certificate.
•
W ithout the proof of a technically correct delivery, any warranties from the side of the Com pany Kroll will lapse.
•
Any warranties will equally lapse if EL fuel oil according to the DIN Standard No. 51 603-1 is used at tem perature
below +4°C or if winter diesel is used below stipulated temperatures. (It is strictly prohibited to add any petrol).
The burners must not be m odified or tam pered with under circumstances, and repair work m ust be carried out by
a specialist.
•
If the pump pressure is set at a higher value in order to get the heater started up in case of low ambient
temperatures, the device will be overheated as soon as the ambient and oil tem peratures are increasing. This will
entail cases of dam age, excluding any warranties.
•
In case of deflagrations, an analysis of the fuel oil is used should be m ade available, and the installing of the
device should be verified by an expert.
Any use, installation, maintenance that is not effected according to the rules as asserted in the technical
manual, or unauthorized modifications on the original version as delivered from manufacturer leads to
expiration of any right to warranty.
