A1.2 Attaching the articulated shaft
A1.2.1 Special safety instructions
•
Before switching on the tractor power take-off shaft, make sure that the speed selected for the
shaft matches the speed permitted for the wagon.
•
Only carry out lubrication or adjustment work on the wagon or the articulated shaft with the
power take-off shaft switched off, the engine switched off and the ignition key removed.
•
Before switching on the power take-off shaft, make sure that no one is inside the danger area
of the wagon.
•
The torque (1) stamped on the overload coupling
- see example - must agree with the torque in the following table.
•
If these values do not agree, the KRONE dealer must be informed.
A1.2.2 Overload coupling
The wagon is fitted with a cam-operated clutch linkage
with a fixed torque setting. When the linkage is
overloaded, the power from the tractor is interrupted. The
power-take-off shaft must be switched off. When the
power take-off shaft is switched on again, full torque is
available to the wagon.
The overload coupling protects the
tractor and the wagon from being
damaged.
If the torque setting on the overload
coupling is interfered with, the
guarantee will no longer apply.
