Maintenance - Air Conditioning and Heating
13.6 Coolant
The air-conditioning system is run with
1500 g R134a coolant (tetrafluoride
ethane). This substance does not contain
chloratome and is thus not harmful to
the ozone in the earth's atmosphere.
The coolant may not however be simply
drained off, instead it has to be collected
with a recycling system. Therefore do
not disconnect connecting lines. Only
allow maintenance and repair to be
carried out on the air conditioning
system by your KRONE dealer with a
suitable disposal and recycling system.

13.8 Fresh Air Filter (Cabin)
A fresh air filter in form of a wedge filter cell os located on
the left-hand side in driving direction in the upper cabin
area behind the slotted grill. This filter protects the driver
inside the cabin from dusts and floating soiling located
outside the cabin.
For cleaning, replacing or assessing the degree of soiling
the slotted grill must be removed. Open the locking device
using a square wrench by turning clockwise by 90°. After
opening the slotted grill can be folded to the left. The
wedge filter cell is then freely accessible and can be taken
out of the fan. Before the start of each ride the filter should
be checked for soiling.
If the filter is not adequately maintained
it may be heavily soiled and can no
longer guarantee that sufficient fresh air
reaches the cabin. The filter can be
cleaned several times by knocking,
never use compressed air. With heavy
soiling the filter must be replaced.
Set the cooling power to a medium
value at the highest still comfortable fan
speed. Do not allow the air conditioning
to run with a low speed and the highest
cooling power.
The air conditioning system is equipped with a pressure
switch (1) which switches the system off during over- and
under-pressure (at the drier behind the all-purpose cooler
on the left-hand side in driving direction)
