Cleaning

The refrigeration unit is hermetically
sealed and the fan bearings are
provided with lifetime lubrication. The-
se parts are therefore maintenance-free.

• Remove the mains plug from the

socket.

• Wipe the housing with a soft dry cloth.

If it is particularly dirty, use a damp
cloth with a mild cleaning agent.

• Take hold of the air filter (6) by the

notch and remove.

• Open the filter unit and remove the

activated carbon filter. (Use of an
activated carbon filter is not absolutely
essential. If used, it should be replaced
every 3 months.)

• Clean activated carbon filter – if used

– with vacuum cleaner (do not use
water).

• Remove dust from white filter material

using a brush or vacuum cleaner
(every 3 – 4 weeks)

• Replace activated carbon filter (if used)
• Insert filter unit in the dehumidifier
• Replace mains plug in socket

If it becomes particularly dirty, the inside
of the machine will need to be cleaned.
This must be performed by a refrigeration
specialist.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Please check the following points before
taking the machine to a specialist dealer.

A. Dehumidifier does

not start

• Is the mains plug correctly inserted?
• Is the fuse in your fusebox OK?
• Is the mains cable or extension cable

(if used) OK?

• Is the water tank empty?

• Is the water tank positioned correctly?
• Is the humidity of the room above the

value set on the dehumidifier?

• Have you waited for three minutes

before switching the dehumidifier on
again? The dehumidifier is fitted with
a compressor protection device. Af-
ter switching off, there is a 3-minute
delay before the compressor restarts.

B. Dehumidifier is running

constantly

• Is the hygrostat controller set to a value

of approx. 50 – 55% relative humidity?

• Are the doors and windows closed?
• Is the machine powerful enough for

the size of room (max. 100 m

3

)?

C. The machine is not

dehumidifying the room
properly

• Is the air circulation in the room

adequate?

• Are the intake and outlet openings free

of obstructions?

• Is the room temperature too high or

too low (see section on Installation)?

• Is the filter clean?

If you have checked the above
pointsand still not managed to rectify
the fault, the machine must be taken to
a refrigeration specialist for inspection.

DISPOSAL

Because the dehumidifier contains a
refrigerant, it requires special disposal.
Please contact your specialist dealer or
local waste disposal authority.
