BEFORE FIRST USE
Take the toaster out of its packing and remove all the stickers and packing material

close to inflammable objects.
Fully unwind the power cord. Never use the appliance if the power cord is partially wound. Connect
the appliance to the wall socket

key to select the max. position but leave the appliance empty

Run the appliance empty 3 times to eliminate the characteristic new product smell

TOASTING BREAD
P r a c t i c a l h i n t s
Different sorts of bread can contain more or less water and the toasting and browning time can therefore
vary. Here are a few general recommendations:
Slightly dry bread should be toasted preferably at a lower toasting power.
Really fresh bread or wholemeal bread should be toasted at higher power. For bread with an irregular
surface like English muffins higher power toasting is recommended.
When toasting bread containing dried fruit or scones, first remove fruit that is likely to come free
(raisins that fall away are liable to start a fire).
When toasting bagels, cut them in two equal halves before toasting.
Reduce toasting power when toasting a single slice of bread.
Connect the appliance. The toaster will make 2 beeps

NEVER LEAVE THE TOASTER UNATTENDED DURING USE.

to select the toasting power from level 1 to 8. The selected toasting position will
appear on screen

Lower the control lever and toasting will start

Note: The lever will only engage in the low position when the appliance is connected.
Once the cycle has been engaged, the remaining toasting time will be displayed in bar form on screen.
The bread and the lever will rise automatically once the cycle has finished

The LCD screen will go off after a certain time when the appliance is no longer used.
