Turn down the sealing clamp
(A)
and press down gently with your left hand, just so far
that the extraction comes into operation (red indicator glows). With your right hand, pull
the bag gently towards you and raise and lower it slightly now and then.
(10)
This movement causes small channels to be made in the bag during the extraction
operation, so that the air can escape. It also prevents the two layers of foil from
pressing together in front of the nozzle and thus lengthening the extraction time.
When the air has been sucked out of the bag, keep your left hand on the sealing
clamp
(A)
and place your right hand on the other end of the sealing clamp
(A)
.
With both hands flat on it, maintain a heavy pressure until the green control lamp
begins to glow. The green indicator ceases to glow when sealing has come to an
end. You can now remove your bag; it is properly closed.
(11)
The sealing function makes it possible to seal several small portions in a single
piece of foil, each separated from the next by a double seam, such as portions of
herbs or a piece of steak and a pat of seasoned butter.
–
Do this by setting the function selector to sealing
.
–
Open the sealing clamp
(A)
and pull out the end of the foil as far as the width
required for a single portion.
–
Turn down the sealing clamp
(A)
and press it down firmly with both hands until
the green control lamp ceases to glow.
–
Raise the sealing clamp
(A)
and pull out sufficient foil for the next portion, and
then seal that in.
When the required number of portions has been reached and before the last seam,
turn the function selector to cutting-sealing
.
(12)
Fill the individual compartments and, if appropriate, close off with a sealing
operation
before starting the next lot of portions.
(13)
Finally, remove the remainder of the foil using the cutting-sealing function
.
Pull out the mains plug.
After use, wipe down the appliance with a moist cloth only.
