4.6.1
Measuring method selection (plate, ring, density)

With the three keys
you can select between the three measuring methods.
•
From the main menu of a measuring method you can use the key
to select the mode for parameter entry or the key
to start a measurement with the selected method.

You can also use the two keys
to select between the main menus of the methods.

Changing between measuring methods is not possible if you are currently carrying
out a measurement or are in a menu for altering the measuring parameters.
4.6.2
Starting and stopping measurements
If you are in one of the three main menus

you
can start a measurement with the ENT-key (enter).

After the start instructions for the particular steps to be taken during the
measurement appear on the display. Before you start a measurement you should
check that all the measuring parameters have been set optimally. An exact
description of a measuring procedure for each method is given in sections 7-9.
•
Each time that a measurement is started an inquiry asking for the sample name
and operator name is made. You can enter data using the characters which are
assigned to the number keys.
•
By
briefly
pressing the ESC-key a running measurement can be interrupted at any
point. Although measured values recorded up to this point will not be shown on the
display, they can still be saved by transfer to the computer or to the protocol printer.
