KSM has made great efforts to build a well-designed control that is as easy as possible to operate. In the
following, the characteristics of each single button will be described.
5.1 Stop Screw.
Pressing this button stops the screw, and the screw will not turn again until it is started. As long as the
Stop Screw button is activated, the control will give an acoustic BIP every time the screw should have
turned, in order to remind the user that the screw has been declutched. The display will indicate SCREW
OFF.
5.2 Start Screw.
Pressing this button will start up the screw, and if you continue to press the button the screw will turn
continuously, for example if you need to feed some fuel into the stoker for starting up the combustion.
When activated, the display will indicate SCREW ON.
5.3 Arrow up/down.
These 2 buttons are used to select the parameters you wish to change. The same two buttons are used for
changing the value of the actual parameter.
5.4 Menu.
Using this button you will see the parameters you wish to change. When the value is adjusted, it will be
saved by pressing at the menu-bottom.
5.5 Starting Up.
If the plant has stopped because of a too low temperature, press this START UP key once for re-starting
the plant.
If the START UP button is kept down while pressing the MENU button you will - after the normal menus
- arrive at some submenus where you may adjust various values. These are all explained in section 6.
