Preparing the vehicle for difficult riding conditions
Info
Use of the vehicle under difficult conditions, such as on sand or on wet and muddy surfaces, can lead to considerably more
rapid wear of components such as the drive train, brake system, or suspension components. For this reason, it may be neces-
sary to inspect or replace parts before the next scheduled service.

KTM recommends using the specified engine oil when riding under difficult conditions and to enhance performance.

Clean the air filter and air filter box.

Check the air filter approx. every 30 minutes.

Seal the air filter box.

Secure the air filter box lid.

Additionally secure the rubber grip. (

Check the electrical connector for humidity and corrosion and to ensure it is firmly seated.
» If humidity, corrosion or damage is found:

Clean and dry the connector, or change it if necessary.
Difficult riding conditions are:

Rides on dry sand. (
