6. Fill with new KUBOTA SUPER UDT fluid up to the
upper notch on the dipstick.

7. After running the engine for a few minutes, stop it
and check the oil level again. Add oil to prescribed
level.
8. After the new filter has been replaced, the
transmission fluid level will decrease a little. Make
sure that the transmission fluid does not leak
through the seal, and check the fluid level.
Top off if necessary.
9. Properly dispose of used oil.
IMPORTANT :
• To prevent serious damage to the hydraulic
system, use only a KUBOTA genuine filter.
• If the 3-point hitch can not be raised by
setting the position control lever to the UP
position after long term storage or when
changing the transmission oil, turn steering
wheel to the right and left several times to
bleed air from the system.
• Do not operate the tractor immediately after
changing the transmission fluid.
Run the engine at medium speed for a few
minutes to prevent damage to the
transmission.
3. Replacing the fuel filter element
See Cleaning fuel filter on page 72.
4. Changing front axle case oil
1. Park the tractor on a firm, flat and level surface.
2. To drain the used oil, remove the right and left drain
plugs and filling plug at the front axle case and
drain the oil completely into the oil pan.
3. After draining, reinstall the drain plugs.
4. Fill with new oil up to the upper notch on the
dipstick.

IMPORTANT :
• After 10 minutes, check the oil level again.
Add oil to prescribed level.
5. After filling, reinstall the filling plug.
6. Properly dispose of used oil.

5. Lubricating grease fittings
Apply a small amount of multipurpose grease to the
universal joint every 400 hours.
If you operated the machine in extremely wet and
muddy conditions, lubricate grease fittings more often.
