5. When the specific gravity of electrolyte reaches 1.27 to
1.29 charge has completed.
6. When exchanging an old battery with new one, use a
battery of equal specification shown in
"SPECIFICATIONS"
(For non-accessible maintenance-free type batteries.)
Maintenance-free, non-accessible batteries are designed
to eliminate the need to add water. Yet the volume of
electrolyte above plates may eventually become depleted
due to abnormal conditions such as high heat or improper
regulator setting. Use a voltmeter to check the state of
charge. (See reference chart below to determine if
charging is necessary.)
C
Direction for Storage
1. When storing the machine for a long period, remove
the battery from the machine, adjust the electrolyte to
the proper level and store in a dry place out of direct
sunlight.
2. The battery self-discharges while it is stored.
Recharge it once every three months in hot seasons
and once every six months in cold seasons.
EVERY 100 HOURS
B
Changing Engine Oil
To avoid personal injury:
A
Be sure to stop the engine and remove the key
before changing the oil.
A
Allow engine to cool down sufficiently; oil can
be hot and may cause burns.
1. To change the used oil, remove the drain plug at the
bottom of the engine and drain the oil completely. The
used oil can be drained out more easily if the engine is
warm.
2. Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the
dipstick.
3. To check the oil level. Remove the dipstick, wipe it
clean, insert it and draw it out again. Check to see the
oil level is between the two marks.
