OPERATING THE ENGINE

Check Easy Checker(TM) Lamps:
1. When the key is turned "ON", lamps(2)(3)(4) should
come on. If trouble should occur at any location while
the engine is running, the warning lamp corresponding
to that location comes on.
2. The brake indicator light(1) comes on.
(1) While brake is applied and goes off when it is
released.
(2) When the brake fluid is below the "MIN" mark.
(Add the brake fluid to the "MAX" mark.)

CHECK" in "PERIODIC SERVICE" section.)

Daily checks with the Easy Checker(TM) only, are not
sufficient. Never fail to conduct daily checks carefully
by referring to "DAILY CHECK" in "PERIODIC
SERVICE" section.

As safety function, the engine will not start unless the
range gear shift lever is in the "NEUTRAL" position.
2. Set the range gear shift lever to the
"NEUTRAL" position.
(1) Range gear shift lever
(L) LOW Range
(H) HIGH Range
(N) "NEUTRAL" POSITION
(R) "REVERSE"
3. Insert the key into the key switch and
turn it "ON".

) "OFF" (Engine-Stop)

) "ON" (Engine-Run)

) "START" (Engine-Start)
(1) Brake indicator light
(2) Engine diagnostic light
(3) Engine oil pressure light
(4) Electrical charge light
4. Turn the key to the "START" position
and release when the engine starts.
