The air gap adjustment is made at 3 bolts on the clutch.
There are 3 inspection windows, one next to each
adjusting bolt. (See the figure below.)
(1) Inspection window (×3)
(A) Electric clutch
1. Locate the inspection windows on the clutch.
2. Place a 0.4 mm (0.015 in.) feeler gauge in the slot
between the rotor and the armature.

(P) “INSERT 0.4 mm (0.015 in.) FEELER GAUGE HERE”
3. Tighten or loosen the adjusting nut as needed to
achieve the 0.4 mm (0.015 in.) air gap. Perform this
operation at all 3 inspection windows.
(A) Electric clutch
(Q) Adjustment nut
If the air gap is too narrow, the clutch armature may
drag when disengaged, resulting in premature
failure.
EVERY 1 YEAR
1. Replacing fuel filter

2. Checking fuel lines

3. Checking the muffler and spark
arrester (if equipped)

4. Replacing spark plug

5. Checking engine valve clearance

SERVICE AS REQUIRED
1. Replacing fuses
1. Raise the operator's seat.
2. Remove the blown fuse.
3. Place a new fuse of the same capacity in position.
