EVERY 100 HOURS
1. Changing the engine oil
The engine oil should be changed every 100 hours
operation or every 1 year, whichever comes first.
WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
• Be sure to stop the engine and remove the key
before changing the oil.
• Allow the engine to cool down sufficiently, as
oil can be hot and may cause burns.
1. To change the used oil, use the drain valve
connected to the engine block. To drain the oil,
loosen the hex plug until oil begins to drain. Then,
remove the oil level dipstick to allow the engine to
vent.
NOTE :
• The used oil can be drained out more easily
if the engine is warm.

4. To check the oil level:
Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, insert it without
screwing it in and draw it out again. Check to see
that the oil level is between the 2 marks.
NOTE :
• Do not overfill.
2. Checking the air cleaner outer
element
Check the air cleaner daily or before starting the
engine. Check for a buildup of dirt and debris around
the air cleaner system. Keep this area clean. Also
check for loose or damaged components.
Check the air cleaner outer element every 100 hours of
operation.
NOTE :
• Operating the engine with loose or damaged air
cleaner components could allow unfiltered air
into the engine causing premature wear and
failure.
