Charging the battery
(1950 Pure & 1950 Urban)

TIPPS ON HOW TO CHARGE THE BATTERY:
Recharge the battery after each lon-
ger journey (when driving more than
10 km). The lower the discharge level,
the longer your battery life expectan-
cy will be.
If possible, recharge the battery in-
between the journeys (e.g. at work).
It’s better for the battery, when dri-
ving 2 x 10 km, rather than 1 x 20 km.
Always use the original charging de-
vice, as provided by Kumpan electric.
The batteries require to be charged a
few times in order to reach their full
performance capabilities (Therefore,
you should not carry out any range
tests in the beginning).
A deep discharge (complete discharge
of the battery followed by storage)
can lead to a decrease in the battery’s
lifespan.
WORKING PARAMETERS OF THE BATTERY:
• Suggested operating temperature:
Between 23°F and 104 °F
• Optimal operating temperature:
Between 50°F and 95 °F
• Maximum operating temperature:
Between 23°F and 104 °F
ADVICE:
If you do not follow the suggested
instructions on how to handle the
battery, reduced capacity and per-
formance, as well as an impaired life
span, are a possibility!
Battery damages due to deep di-
scharge or false handling are exclu-
ded from the warranty.
During longer storage periods, in
which the kickboard is not in use
(more than 3 months, e.g. in winter),
the battery will discharge itself due
to internal chemical processes. You
should ensure to charge the battery
every two or three months to avoid
the risk of a deep discharge.
In general, when you store Li-Ion
batteries for a longer peroid:
The optimal storage charge level is
between 40% -80%
