Special instructions for aluminium
surfaces
Aluminium is a “living” material. The an-
gle of vision, the influence of light and
the surroundings determine the reflec-
tive effects and therefore the appear-
ance of the appliance.
On cleaning, please observe the general
instructions contained in this section.
Do not use
– stainless steel cleaning agents,
– cleaning agents for calcerous
deposits,
– dishwasher detergents or
– oven sprays.
Disconnect the cooker hood from the
mains prior to carrying out any clean-
ing or maintenance work. To do so,
either
– pull the plug of the appliance out
of the socket or
– deactivate the fuses of the home
wiring system or
– completely screw out the screw
locking of the home installation
system.
Surfaces and control elements are
sensitive to scratches and cuts. The
following cleaning instructions must
therefore be observed.
Do not use too much water when
cleaning around the control ele-
ments in order to avoid water seep-
ing into the electronics system.
Aluminium surfaces may become
discoloured or change their appear-
ance when dirt is left on the surfac-
es. It should therefore always be re-
moved immediately.
