hand detergent or one of the usual glass cleaning agents

Cleaning the metal fat filters
Both metal fat filters must be cleaned if all the control lights on the control
panel flash at the same time.
–
Grip the filter cover at the open-
ing, push outwards, turn
downwards and unhook out of the
opening in the lamp holder.
–
For recirculation mode: Remove the holders of the activated charcoal fil-
ters as well as the filters themselves (see Section “Changing the activa-
ted charcoal filters”).
–
Clean the meshes with the fat filters in the dishwasher or by hand with a
mild detergent. Before installation, rinse well and dry.
–
For recirculation mode: Insert the activated charcoal filters again and
secure with the holders.
–
Insert both filters again: To this
end insert the two brackets of one
cover into the openings provided
in the lamp holder, press the filter
upwards and then push inwards
until it is firmly in position.
–
If the control lights still flash when the hood is used for the first time af-
ter cleaning, press one of the lower three buttons. The counter for the
operating hours is then reset to 0 and the control lights go off.
Changing the activated charcoal filters (for
recirculation mode)
The activated charcoal filters absorb odours until they are saturated. They
cannot be cleaned or regenerated and have to be replaced with new origi-
nal replacement filters after 6 months at the latest.
–
Remove the meshes with the met-
al fat filters on both sides and cle-
an (see “Cleaning the metal fat fil-
ters”).
–
Remove the holders and take out
the used activated charcoal filters.
–
Insert new activated charcoal fil-
ters and secure with the holders.
–
Install the filter covers again.
Replacing a halogen lamp
Caution!
The halogen lamps become very hot after being in use
for some time. Therefore, the lamps should be changed when
they have cooled down.
Only replace the halogen lamps with
lamps of the same type.
Do not grip the halogen lamps with your bare hands. Finger marks
burn into the lamp glass and reduce the light intensity and service
life of the lamps.
–
Carefully lever out the halogen
lamp with a screwdriver and pull
downwards out of the holder.
–
Carefully push a new lamp (20
Watt) into the socket using a cloth.
