6 | Function description
The [Management] tabulator with three dialog windows
[Temp. offset (120° C)]
– [Channel TC 1] up to [Channel TC 3]: to enter correction values if the temperat-
ure readings of the thermocouples differ from the real temperatures.
a) Measure the thermocouples with an external calibration tool at 120°C.
b) Enter the values of the detected temperature differences (negative minus sign
before them) into input fields from [Channel TC 1] up to [Channel TC 3] to off-
set them.
c) Then click on button [Send].

The correction values have been adopted and the Rework System will display
the calibrated values of the temperature sensors.
[Device transport position]
Button [Move to transport position]: IMPORTANT: To avoid any transport damage,
move the heating head to a safe position using button [Move to transport position]
before carrying the Rework System to another location!
[Device setup]
Process [Start device setup] is run being guided by an assistant, similar to the wiz-
ard guiding you through the soldering process. The process is described in Chapter
The [Start teaching] button . Always perform function [Pixel shift]:
– whenever reinstalling the Rework System
– after updating HRSoft 2
– after replacing the heating head
– after relocating the unit.
Info: To fully set up the Rework system after changing the heating head or relocat-
ing the system, also run the function associated with button [Adjust pixel shift]
here in this dialog. With regard to this, please read Chapter The [Pixel shift adjust-
ment] button.
[Adjust pixel shift]
Process [Adjust pixel shift] is run being guided by an assistant, similar to the wizard
guiding you through the soldering process. The process is described in Chapter The
[Pixel shift adjustment] button .
Info: To fully set up the Rework system after changing the heating head or relocat-
ing the system, also run the function associated with button [Start device setup]
here in this dialog. With regard to this, please read Chapter The [Start teaching]
button.
[Firmware update]
– [System board update file]: To refresh the system board firmware, click on but-
ton [Open] and select the new system board firmware with file extension *.bin.
Then click on button [Firmware update]. The system board firmware has been
updated.
Normally, you will realize a firmware update is needed via a bell icon being
shown in the display and button bar on the top right. A number of the required
firmware updates will appear on the bell icon. Click on the bell icon and start
the update, which will be run automatically.
– [Power board update file]: to refresh the Powerboard firmware, click on button
[Open] and select the new Powerboard firmware with file extension *.bin.
Then click on button [Firmware update]. The PowerBoard firmware has been
updated.
Normally, you will realize a firmware update is needed via a bell icon being
