8.4 Performing a HRSoft 2 update
Download the software
cling on “Login”.
b) Log in with your e-mail address and password.

The Members Area will appear.
c) Go to the area 6.2.3 (Software / Rework) HRSoft 2.
d) Compare the version number offered with the installed version. The number of
the installed version is shown by the Rework System in the [HRSoft 2 options]
dialog under the [Administration] tab.
e) If you wish to update the system, download the software package and save it
on the Rework System PC under:
C:\ProgramData\ErsaGmbH\HRSoft 2\Firmware.
f) Extract the file in this directory.
g) Open and read the “HRSoft2_Liesmich” file.
Uninstalling the outdated HRSoft 2
a) Switch off the Rework System.
b) Click on the Windows start button once and enter “Programs” in the input
field.
c) In the Windows Start menu, click on the “Adding or Removing Programs” line.
d) Uninstall the HRSoft 2 program in the “Apps & Features” program list.
Install the new HRSoft 2 version.
a) In the C:\ProgramData\ErsaGmbH\HRSoft 2\Firmware directory launch the
“setup.exe” file. Follow the instructions and confirm dialogues with OK/Con-
tinue.
b) Once installation is completed, the HRSoft2 program will be started by double-
clicking the program icon on the desktop.
c) Switch on the Rework System.
d) Switch on the PC and start HRSoft 2.
e) Check if there is a connection between the Rework system and the PC. The
"Connection" icon on the right of the temperature display must be green.
f) If further firmware updates of specific modules of the Rework System are re-
quired, these must be executed in the [Device options] dialog under the [Ad-
ministration] tab. With regard to this, please read Chapter The [device settings]
dialog.
Checking the Netgear switches configuration
Switch on the Rework System and the PC.
a) Open a web browser and enter the following IP address: 169.254.10.4. Press
Enter.
