Temporarily editing the soldering profile in the [Rework] tab
6.5.2 Use of the soldering profile in the [Rework] tabulator
A soldering profile (3) is a file in which the complete soldering process with all asso-
ciated parameter settings is saved. In the [Profile management] tab, you can cre-
ate, edit, copy, delete and save new soldering profiles.
Soldering profile parameters and other specifications may also be edited in this
[Rework] dialog and then applied, but these changes may not be saved here. To
permanently create, edit, copy, delete and save a soldering profile, switch to the
[Profile management] tab.
Soldering processes are always started in the [Rework] tab.
Working with soldering profiles
In the Soldering Profile Selection (3) field, select a soldering profile from the list of
saved soldering profiles.
Search for a soldering profile name in the [Search] input field. The search will auto-
matically start after entering the first sign. Any matches found will be highlighted in
colour.
The soldering profiles have two lines defining the characteristics of the
PCB
and the
component. PCB and component properties, such as PCB thickness,
high/low component mass and lead-free/leaded solder, can be entered into these
lines.
After marking your soldering profile in the soldering profile selection area (3),
changes can be made to the time and temperature sequences in Chart fields (4),
and to the soldering process steps for this soldering profile in parameter bar (5).
With regard to this, please read the Chapters on The chart in the [Profile manage-
ment] tabulator [
