Grease Locations for the 965X
Locations of Cutter Head Bearings
For lubrication schedule information,
see “Lubrication Schedule” on page 3-12. Figure 3- 12
shows the X,Y, and Z axis bearings of the
Cutter Head
from the back section viewpoint. The bear
-
ings are color coded for easy identification. (X-yellow, Y-blue, and Z- red).
1.
Park the Cutter Head,
see “How to Prepare the 965X for Greasing” on page 3-17.
2.
Perform
Lockout/Tagout.
3.
Identify zerk fittings and apply EP-2 grease.
4.
After lubrication is completed, reverse
Lockout/Tagout
.

Tag Out procedures

Z Axis Bearings:
Four Bearings move the Cutter
Head vertically up and down.
Y Axis Bearings:
Four Bearings move the Cut

ter Head front and back.
Located on the top of the
plate,
X Axis Bearings:
Four Bearings move the Cutter
Head across the machine. Located
on the bottom of the plate.
