Disk Structure
You can use an external card reader to read the files on the flash disk. The Kvaser
Memorator Tools can read the log data directly via the external card reader, so you do not
need to copy the files to your hard disk.
Note:
It is essential that the flash disks be formatted using the Kvaser Memorator
Tools, which will create several special files on the disk. These files must be
contiguous and the structure and position of the files must be determined by the
firmware, or data logging will fail.
Do not touch these files using an ordinary flash disk writer.
Kvaser Memorator Tools will create the following files on the flash disk when formatting:.
LOGDAT
nn
.KMF
PARAM.LIF
DATABASE.BIN
The LOGDAT
nn
.KMF will by default occupy nearly the whole disk, regardless of whether the
file contains any logging data or not. PARAM.LIF and DATABASE.BIN will use around 2 MB.

CAN Connectors
The Kvaser Eagle has two CAN channels. Both CAN channels have 9-pin D-SUB connectors
(see Figure 10) with the pinning described below (see Table 8 and Table 9).
