Level measurement of a single access point

In the level measurement, the measuring device has to connect with the access point before. For
this purpose, depending on the encryption of the connection, a password is required. The entry of
the password is performed with the function key
PASSPHRASE
: here can be selected between 4
memory locations for storing. The stored passwords are retained even after switching of the device.
Which password is active, shows the inverse representation of the respective space. If an
accesspoint using no secured connections, then it is not necessary to select a specific password /
memory location.
After selecting the appropriate password / space a connection to the access point can be started.
For this use the cursor keys ↑ and ↓ to select the appropriate access point and then press the
function key
CONNECT
. Upon successful connection, the picture changes into a histogram graph
(Figure 24-3 Wi-Fi™ level histogram graph). A red cursor indicates the currently measured level,
this value can also be read at the top of the display as a numerical value. Below the chart, the MAC
address of the access point, the BSSID and the assigned IP address are displayed.
