Correct tire pressure is crucial to the proper operation of your
UXV500iG. Consult the values listed below or the SPECIFICATIONS
section of this manual for tire pressure guidelines. Incorrect tire pres-
sure can cause poor handling, instability, and could cause you to
lose control of your vehicle.

Press down on the UXV500iG’s brake pedal. If the pedal does not
feel firm, or if it feels soft or "weak," the brake system could be low
on fluid or have a leak. If so, refer to the GENERAL MAINTENANCE
section of this manual for instructions. Do not use your UXV500iG
unless the brakes are operating normally.
Test the parking brake to confirm that it locks the wheels into posi-
tion, then disengage it to release the brake. The brakes on your
Side-by-Side vehicle are essential for safety and could fail if they
are not maintained properly.

Your UXV500iG’s accelerator pedal should have a free, smooth
range of motion. If it seems to "stick" at any point, or does not re-
turn when released, refer to the GENERAL MAINTENANCE sec-
tion of this manual for instructions. Driving your UXV500iG with a
sticking accelerator can cause you to lose control of your vehicle
and may cause an accident. Do not drive your UXV500iG if the
accelerator action is not smooth and the pedal does not return after
it is released.

With your vehicle’s engine running and parking brake applied, check
the transmission operation by shifting into each drive mode: for-
ward, neutral, and reverse. After testing, shift back into neutral and
turn the engine off before exiting the vehicle.
Check:
1 . Tire pressure
2 . Tire surface (tread and sidewall)
While checking your UXV500iG's tire pressure, inspect the tread
and the sidewalls of the tires for cracks, cuts, or other damage.
Immediately replace any tire that is damaged.
