Voicemail (Traditional)
In addition to
Visual Voicemail
, your phone and Boost Mobile service always offer traditional
voicemail service accessed through the Phone application.
Set Up Voicemail
You should set up your Voicemail and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated. Always
use a password to protect against unauthorized access. Your phone automatically transfers all
unanswered calls to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off.
1. Touch
Home
>
Phone
>
to display the dialpad.
2. Touch and hold
to dial your voicemail number.
3. Follow the system prompts to:
l
Create your password.
l
Record your name announcement.
l
Record your greeting.
Important:
Voicemail Password
– Boost Mobile strongly recommends that you create a
password when setting up your voicemail to protect against unauthorized access. Without a
password, anyone who has access to your phone is able to access your voicemail messages.
Voicemail Notification
There are a couple of different ways your phone alerts you to a new voicemail message.
n
By sounding the assigned notification sound.
n
By vibrating the phone when the vibrate setting is on.
n
By displaying
within the Notifications area of the Status bar when new unheard voicemail
message(s) is received. The figure is the number of new messages. This icon means you have
ten unheard new messages.
Note:
Your phone accepts messages even when it is turned off. However, your phone notifies you
of new messages only when it is turned on and you are in the service area.
Retrieve Your Voicemail Messages
You can review your messages directly from your wireless phone (using either traditional voicemail
or Visual Voicemail) or from any other touch-tone phone.
