5-1.2.1 Remove Terminal/Crypto Card Association
The REMOVE TERMINAL/CARD ASSOCIATION function is available to all users. However, removal of
association is normally accomplished by the TPA. This feature would be used to prevent a person from
using a STE that they were previously authorized to use but permission has been suspended or revoked
and the TPA is not immediately available. The person doing the removal may be any user (perhaps a
Watch Officer), but the card being removed from association must be in their possession. The TPA
should be notified of all removals.
When REMOVE was pressed in the REMOVE CRYPTO CARD ASSOCIATION/PREPARE REMOTE
ASSOCIATION menu (
) the INSERT CRYPTO CARD menu (
) is displayed.

If you choose not to remove the association, press
ABORT
and the display will return to the REMOVE
CRYPTO CARD ASSOCIATION/PREPARE REMOTE ASSOCIATION menu (Paragraph
5-1.2
).
Otherwise, insert the crypto card that will be removed from the STE’s association registry. After the card
is processed, the REMOVE TERMINAL/CARD ASSOCIATION menu (
Figure 5-12
) is displayed.
