product is tested and inspected before leaving the factory and should arrive in perfect condition.
After the careful opening of the shipping carton, check for any noticeable damage. If so, notify the shipping company or
the distributor immediately. Only the consignee may initiate a claim with the carrier for damage incurred during
shipping. Be sure to save the carton and packing materials to be inspected by the carrier.

containing essential information on installing and operating the product properly and safely. All the documents

ENCLOSURE
The KARAi is the full-range element of a modular WST
®
line source with variable curvature. This version of the KARA
®
enclosure is dedicated to permanent installation.
The KARAi loudspeaker enclosure is based on an active 2-way design with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms for both the
HF and the LF section. It features two 8” neodymium speakers in a bass-reflex tuned enclosure and one 3” neodymium
diaphragm compression driver coupled to a DOSC
®
waveguide. The transducers are implemented in a K-shape
configuration. The cabinet is made of first-grade Baltic birch plywood to ensure maximum acoustical and mechanical
integrity. The enclosure meets the IP45 rating for protection from solids and liquids.
The KARAi operates over the nominal frequency range of 55 Hz to 20 kHz. This response can be extended down to 32
Hz with the SB18 subwoofer. The DOSC
®
HF waveguide generates a symmetric horizontal coverage of 110°.
The KARAi rigging system allows vertically assembling enclosures with various inter-element angles, up to 10˚,
therefore constituting a line array with variable curvature. The combination of the coplanar symmetry and the DOSC
®
waveguide in the HF region ensure a perfect acoustic coupling between the elements of an array. The WST
®
(Wavefront Sculpture Technology) criteria are fulfilled, so that such an array can be qualified as a true line source. Any
WST
®
line source provides a smooth tonal response and a coverage that is free of secondary lobes over the entire
frequency range.
